Warnings and Suspensions

We are interested in maintaining the Umang Forum as a convenient means for the community to interact with each other. Individuals who are found to be in violation of the Forum policies will be subject to penalties as follows:

  • Warnings: These will be given out for your first violation and can result in your account being suspended for upto 30 days. We will only issue warnings for serious offenses. If you have made a genuine mistake, we will be accommodating as long as we do not see repeat behavior.
  • Bans: Repeated major offenses will result in your account being banned permanently from the board. You will not have access to board features for the remainder of the academic year.

Any disputes between Umang and an individual will be referred to Associate Dean Elaine Berland whose verdict will be regarded as final.
