Step 1: Read the Forum Rules and Information

Familiarize yourself with the general rules for acceptable posting on the forum. Failure to comply with these rules can result in you being warned and subsequently permanently banned. Once you have done this, complete Step 2(a) or Step 2(b) as appropriate.


Step 2(a): Sign up for an Account - Current Washington University Students and Postdocs

Register for an account on the forum by visiting the Forum Home Page and clicking the "Register" button below the Umang logo.

  • Read the terms on the page and click "I Agree" if you agree to abide by them
  • On the following page, enter your information. You MUST use an email address that is valid and ends in .wustl.edu for your registration to be processed
  • Once you have submitted your registration form, we will review your information and approve your account within a couple of days at most. You will receive an email confirmation of the activation at the email address you used to sign up

Step 2(b): Sign up for an Account - Incoming Students and Postdocs

Register for an account on the forum by visiting the Forum Home Page and clicking the "Register" button below the Umang logo.

  • Read the terms on the page and click "I Agree" if you agree to abide by them
  • On the following page, enter your information and submit the form
  • Send an email to umang@grad.wustl.edu with your full name, email address that you used to register for your account, the department and degree program you are joining, and your starting semester at Washington University. We cannot activate your account before we receive this information from you.
  • Once you have submitted your registration form and sent the email, we will review your information and approve your account within a couple of days at most. You will receive an email confirmation of the activation at the email address you used to sign up
